3:Leadership
What's the meaning of leadership? How do you personally define it? I've heard a quote that sounds that everyone are born to be a caliph (arabic term for leader, successor). So leadership is that important?
Leadership from wikipedia.org is defined as the “process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task". So this means a person that have a leadership characteristic would able to "mind control" others. Thus it can conclude that a leader could be a person with good or bad intention.
Leadership is everything, from being a father to commanding an army. And we're are also leader towards ourself. For example, when Sheldon Cooper is controlling himself from wetting his pants, he said "I'm the master of my bladder". Based on the situation given above, we cannot escape from being a leader even to small things like controlling your urinary bladder. (Sheldon Cooper is a fictional character from the television series, Big Bang Theory)
During my school years, I often participate in leadership camps, and most of the content are repetitive. I've started to get bored when there is any program related to leadership because for me its too lame. I guess some of you would agree. So the question is, why is this leadership class thing is this important? For your information, today I got lectures from 9am until 4pm but, I suddenly got a last minute information that there will be a leadership class from 5pm to 7pm. My class was almost half a day. It was depressing as a cat pee in my shoes just before the class, as well as my inability to get a bigger cranium. Yeah, my brain is expanding constantly.
Honestly, I'm feeling discomfort with this leadership class and it's kinda annoying due to its time consumption in addition covering 0.5 credit hour. Oh my dear IIUM, why can't just you give a 3 seminar sessions instead of this damn classes. IMHO (in my humble opinion) it is quite unreasonable to burden students with this so called leadership class.
I can't deny that leadership is an important and I'm lacking of it. It's beneficial and supposed to be fun. Perhaps my soft skills are too bad until this kind of course has become compulsory. Oh my God, if only I could enjoy the class, things would be less depressing.

1:Reinventing The Beginning
